Brain Chemistry focuses on the balance of chemical in the brain in a full 24 hour cycle. Some people need more of one type of chemical in the brain than others and this can depend on sex, age and lifestyle. Key indicators show where you are out of balance and how attention to diet and activity can help promote and restore balance.
Part of the process of training the brain is to monitor and measure how well you sleep. This can be a key indicator of trauma based disturbances which keep a person from obtaining deep regenerative sleep. This lack of "good" sleep results in the body not being able to regenerate suitably overnight and results in waking up feeling lethargic and low in energy and enthusiasm.
With brain training, we can help you discover ways to quieten the brain so that deep sleep is possible. We measure the before and after sleep pattern with a wrist worn actigraph which measure a full week's worth of activity and creates a report showing your overall level of sleep.
Because you are what you eat for the most part, nutritional guidance is paramount to maintaining a healthy brain as well as a healthy body. We spend countless thousands of dollars on eating and looking after our physical fitness, but we are not totally trained in how to look after the nutritional health of our brains. With certain diets and supplements, each of us can obtain optimal brain health and promote what we like to call a "happy brain".
